Decorating for the Holidays
One of my fondest memories is decorating for the holidays when my children were small. At dinner time we would take turns counting our blessings. Then after the dishes were washed and the homework finished, we would gather in the living room and decorate for the upcoming holiday. Once I kept a Christmas tree up all year long. Yes, an artificial one! We started decorating it for Christmas with string popcorn (once we strung macaroni), homemade ornaments, garland, lights and of course, the angel on the top. Later we found items to decorate on our tree for every holiday that year. January was New Years with . February had hearts for Valentines Day. March brought 4 leaf clovers to the tree and so on…
