Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is nothing to sneeze about! Many people even stop breathing in their sleep for long periods of time which can even result in death.

Sleep Apnea Related Problems

Too little oxygen to the brain can also cause mental problems, memory loss, automobile accidents, etc.  Least of all, it can cause marital discord if the non-snoring spouse cannot get a good night’s rest.

Many know people who need to sleep with a CPAP machine. This machine keeps air flowing into the nose throughout the night. Believe me, the mask that is worn could be worn on Halloween to scare children big and small!  This article would make a wonderful gift for someone you know who has this disease. It may even be someone in your own household.

People need to make exercise an important part of their lives, and many of us are too tired to even attempt to walk or exercise at a gym.  This, of course, is another result of sleep apnea.

Exercise Can Help

Research shows that spending just 20 minutes each day doing the recommended, scientifically proven mouth and throat exercises, you can give up that cumbersome machine! If you have ever traveled by air, you know how awkward it is to lug around a CPAP machine. You have to take it out of the padded case to get through Homeland Security. Then you need to carefully repack it as it is very expensive. You don’t want to arrive at your destination and have a broken machine. You also have to find distilled water for it as it uses water to provide humidity.

Wouldn’t it be much easier to have exercises completed in just 20 minutes a day and give us the CPAP machine?  Or help someone you know that suffers from sleep apnea every night?

Another Alternative to the CPAP Machine

A fairly new oral device has been approved by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.  If your loved one is determined not to use a machine to sleep with, then share the oral device that could just save his/her life!  Read more here…
